ANU Sport is here to stay in 2019 – as always, you can find us in Building 19 on North Road, right next to the Coffee Grounds and across the road from the Engineering and Computer Science faculties!
But that’s old news… What’s new in 2019?
1. We’re the most affordable gym on campus.
You’re at uni, working your part-time job and trying to do your assignments during your break, and Centrelink has suspended your payments just before rent is due. Again. But we’ve got you: with 2019 student memberships starting at $8 per week, you’ll be hard pressed to find better value in Canberra.
2. Bonus features galore!
All of our memberships include bonus access to our 70+ weekly group fitness classes, yoga and pilates classes, our specialist indoor cycling studio and strength and conditioning room, all in the heart of campus! Not to mention our friendly and good looking customer service staff and personal training team: we even have multilingual staff to make you feel at home if English is your second language.
3. We’ll help you balance uni, work, and your social life.
ANU Sport is the fitness community that can slot right in to your daily schedule – join a group fitness session at any time of the day, or come and have a quick work out before you grab your coffee to make you late for your classes (if you’re going, that is).
The gym isn’t for you? No worries – sign up to play Lunchtime Sport in Semester 1 – a perfect way to get your daily dose of fitness whilst staying social at the same time. Visit anu-sport.com.au/social-sport for more information.
We also have free facility hire for ANU students before 2pm on weekdays, if you want to chuck a frisbee around or shoot some hoops with your mates. Visit our reception desk to book in on the day!
4. We’re a community organisation, like we always have been, and always will be.
From our free group fitness classes for ANUSA and PARSA students, to subsidised facility hire and social sport, even to supporting our 35 sporting clubs and the Interhall Sport organisation, ANU Sport has students in mind with everything we do. We’re always open to feedback from our community: get in contact with firstname.lastname@example.org if you have something to tell us.
5. Finally, we’re here to stay!
Tell your friends, your family, your colleagues, and your dog: we aren’t going anywhere! We’re ready for 2019 to be bigger and better than ever – we can’t wait to see you during our packed Orientation Week calendar!
Keep an eye out for our new website, launching in January 2019!
