ANU Boat Club rank in Top 10 clubs in the country

The ANU Boat Club finished the Australian Championships in Penrith on the weekend ranked 8th on the medal tally of the 120 participating clubs. ANU was the only completely volunteer based club ranked in the national top 10.

This was as a result of the club’s biggest ever medal haul at a national championships, with 6 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. Overall, 17 ANUBC crews qualified for finals.

ANU also had its biggest ever presence in the club events, with two women’s club fours, a club eight and a university quad.

The great overall result was a tribute to the ANU Boat Club coaches who worked to prepare the team, and the invaluable equipment support from ANU Sport.
