Get Active @ANU Sport is a program that offers fitness, health and wellbeing services campus-wide.

Our aim is to enhance the experience of students, staff and the wider community at ANU through engagement in programs that will benefit their health and overall wellbeing.

All of the programs and offerings are also available for businesses and corporate groups.


Group Fitness Classes

45 minute - 1 hour classes that we are able to bring to your workplace, college, residential hall or hold nearby on an ANU Sport facility.

Mobile Fitness

Ever wanted a group fitness class that could be held at your doorstep?

With our new mobile fitness trailer that holds weights and equipment specifically for this program, we are able to bring fitness classes to you.

Suited for up to 20 people - these classes can be privately booked (with facilities included if needed) or there is the option to join in our weekly class on South Oval - run each semester.

Wednesday's 12:30-1:30pm on South Oval (Ward Rd, Acton ACT 2601)

Get Active Short Courses

The Get Active Short Courses consists of courses that introduce participants to new interests and activities. Courses run for 5 or 10 weeks throughout the year, in four different blocks (that align with the four terms at the ANU).

ANU Sport is here to provide you with opportunities to learn new skills and exercise, socialise and have fun.

As part of our service, we deliver courses that contain diverse and affordable ranges of recreation and lifestyle opportunities for you to participate in.

Intro to the Gym / Small Group Training

The Intro to the Gym is a 5-week short course that covers basic gym usage, exercise technique advice, group fitness classes, weight training and pin-loaded machine use.

Everything you need to feel confident and comfortable every time you visit the ANU Sport Fitness Centre!

Ideally for small groups of 6-8 people and able to cater for specific demographics such as women, men, international students and corporate groups.

Small group training for businesses and ANU staff is also available, get in contact with us for more details.
