Intro to Fencing

Olympic Fencing is a modern sport with traditional roots. Learning to fence will improve your reflexes, hand-eye-coordination, general fitness, and your ability to analyse situations on your feet. It is safer than sports like football and cricket as well as being a fun and interesting activity for both men and women. We cater for all levels, and you’ll be training with fencers competing at a national level as well as complete novices. It’s great exercise and a lot of fun, so why not take a stab at it?

The club has four qualified coaches and we run a beginners course four times a year. Private coaching is also available in all three weapons. All equipment is provided. Please wear long pants (tracksuit pants are best), t-shirt, indoor sports shoes, and bring a glove (e.g. Gardening glove).
