Whether you want to train for the ring, protect yourself on the streets, get fitter and more flexible, or just have fun, kickboxing is a great choice.  Kickboxing is a modern, combative art — an integrated protection system that combines striking, grappling and weapons defence strategies from a variety of ranges and situations.  Our beginners courses at the ANU emphasise the rapid acquisition of effective techniques, the sorts of things that work in everyday situations for everyday people — footwork, targeted striking, solid defence, simple locks and takedowns, strategies to deal with multiple assailants, techniques that work against weapons.

Instructor: Chris Bishop - A security professional, Chris has trained Australians for operational roles in more than 30 countries, including Peacekeeping and Peace-monitoring deployments in 5 war zones.
