Lunchtime Sport: Semester 2 Review

Lunchtime Sport was another success in Semester 2 2014, wrapped up in foil to be opened at lunchtime next February. Congratulations to everyone who participated and we hope to see those still on campus playing next year.

The final round saw some absolute scorchers! In 6-a-side soccer, Abusement Park took out the Division 1 final, whilst One Foot in the Groin took out Division 2. In Futsal, Zlatan FC timed their run to perfection to win their grand final in convincing fashion (in reference to their game play rather than their uniform). Despite the beautiful weather on grand final day, Touch was clouded in a thick cover of controversy with Division 2 ending in a draw with Boiz Night and Bears Blue having to share the champagne. In Division 1, Pigs with Rigs took out the gold medal against Griffin. In the Squash Halls, Marshall Clark finished off a strong season with a straights set victory to clinch gold and cap off another successful squash competition for all those involved. Unfortunately, Lunchtime sport will not be running through the holiday period. However, lunchtime itself will continue which is cause for celebration. Thankyou to everyone who was involved in the competitions this year and I look forward to signing you all up for the early bird special next year. Lastly, remember the old adage, sport is the best thing in the world and lunchtime is the best time of day. See you next year for another great season.
