NEWS: ANU AFC has an amazing season! Here's their wrap!

2020 was a history-making season for the ANU Griffins and all three teams had a fantastic year.
The Women’s team finished second in the Home and Away season, and narrowly missed out on returning for a third consecutive Grand Final, losing their semi-final to Queanbeyan by 2 points.
Both Men’s 3rd and 4th grade teams finished the season undefeated and for the first time in ANUAFC history both teams won the were crowned premiers!!
The Ressies (4th Grade) beat Yass Roos, 6.17 -53 to 7. 6-48, with Richard Davis being named Best on Ground in the Grand Final.
The Seniors (3rd Garde) beat the Woden Blues 6.11-47 to 5.7-37, with Nick Burridge being named Best on Ground in the Grand Final. 
Interestingly the combined score for the day was 12 goals, 28 points to 12 goals 13 points – the Griffos kicked a handy 15 points across the day!
To round out an amazing season the Griffos had 7 players finish in the top 10 in their respective league Best and Fairest medal counts. In the AFL Canberra Women’s second grade Liv Gleeson finished equal 2nd with Lizzie Hill 4th. In the AFL Canberra Men’s fourth grade Jonathan Dean finished 3rd with Harry Campbell and Tom O’Connor equal 4th. Finally, in the men’s third grade Max Bayly finished 2nd with Josh Elston equal 4th. 
All in all, an incredibly successful year for the ANU Griffins – bring on 2021!
