In honor of Women's Health Week (2nd - 8th September), ANU Sport has created a centralised resource for women and non-binary people to access information regarding the services, programs and offerings we provide which are relevant to you!

Outdoor Family Zumba Party

We will be running an outdoor Zumba party for the families of the ANU and beyond in late-November. With lunch, party bags and Zumba tailored to both kids and parents, you're sure to have an awesome day at ANU Sport. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page closer to the time for more information. 

Women's Introduction to the Gym Short Course

This 5-week Women’s Introduction to the Gym course is open to any self-identifying female wanting to grow their confidence in using the Gym facilities while improving their fitness. With no prior gym experience or membership required, each week you’ll be exploring a new part of our gym or type of training to build your confidence and knowledge on how to train effectively.

During the course our fantastic female trainer will take you through the basics of training your core, cardio and muscular strength using both machine and free weights, the Functional training space and cardio equipment.

Women's Self-Defense Short Course

Jasiri Australia’s Women’s Self Defence 6-week program is specially designed to support and engage female students. Through the foundations of self-defence, participants engage equally in a leadership development program focused on preventative mental health, emotional intelligence, leadership and support and Physical Self Defence training. By providing a safe space, students will be challenged both physically and mentally to encourage lifelong breakthroughs.

You do not need to have a foundation in martial arts or sport to participate. This program is open to everyone and taught by experienced mixed martial artists and an experienced youth worker specialising in trauma support and personal development.

Whether you’re looking for a casual but satisfying working with a friend followed by a coffee, or an intensive sweat-session under the supervision of our qualified instructors, ANU Sport is proud to provide our members with an extensive and diverse group fitness timetable. With over 70 classes a week, as well as sophisticated and dedicated group fitness spaces, including an indoor cycling studio, you’re sure to find a class suited to your fitness ability and schedule.

ANU Sport offers the latest and trendiest Les Mills classes including BODYBALANCE™, SH’BAM™, BODYPUMP™, RPM™, BODYATTACK™ and GRIT™. We also offer unique training programs including Functional Fitness, Circuit, Circuit Core, Boxfit, Female Tactical Fitness and Tactical Fitness, all presented by our talented and driven personal trainers.

Fitness Centre

Our gym is a safe and inclusive place for everyone to work out, whether you're a cardio-addict or a free-weights fiend! Our members have access to a number of functional and sophisticated facilities, including:

  • a traditional gym space filled with both free and machine weights;
  • a massive cardio theatre with over 50 cardio machines;
  • a specialist strength and conditioning room with Olympic lifting platforms;
  • our Functional Training Studio; and
  • an Indoor Cycling Studio for those looking to train in dynamic and awesome group fitness spaces for our 70+ weekly group fitness classes (off-peak memberships can access all classes commencing prior to 2pm).

Not only this, but we offer professional personal training and programming services, with a large and diverse team of trainers at your disposal.

Parking is available nearby off Barry Drive and under the Kambri development.
